July saw me travel all over the country for summery weddings, but one of my favourites was right here in Chester at Macdonald Craxton Wood. I was shooting both photo and video together, so I needed the best team available by my side. Val from Flying Canadian was second shooting stills and I drafted in one of the best in the business from Manchester for video duties, Paul from Ginger Beard Weddings. Together we were a dream team, it just has to be said. Anyway, things were well underway when we all arrived at the bridal prep, and we spent the morning switching between Hana and the girls and Kev and the boys as everything was happening very close by. Although the weather was looking great, it was a bit risky to set up outside for a 2PM ceremony and so the decision was made to host things indoors instead, which is fine at Craxton Wood because the ceremony room is full of gorgeous natural light to work with.

The ceremony went off without a hitch, including a perfect reading by all three bridesmaids thanks to plenty of practice that morning over some Prosecco. We all headed straight outside to listen to some beautiful harp and enjoy a few drinks before getting cracking with the photos. A few family members went missing(as they always do) but we got everything done in time to give the couple some well deserved private time together around the grounds of Craxton Wood as we silently followed behind snapping and filming away. Once we had what we needed the couple headed inside to greet their guests before taking their seats for the speeches. Hana's Dad had prepared something special for his, and he left the room pretending to have forgotten his speech before a video was played for everyone showing his long journey home to get it(along with his beloved Everton top). As the evening drew in, we all held our breath for Hana's bouquet toss before capturing the first dance and hitting the road.
