Back in 2016 I shot a wedding at the gorgeous Sheldrakes in Heswall, and the very talented hairdresser on that day was one Miss Kerry who was getting married herself the following year. We hit it off and she loved the photos that I took that day, so before I knew it I was booked to photograph her wedding to Eddy the following September at Inglewood Manor. It's incredibly humbling to be chosen to capture the wedding of another supplier, because they meet photographers all the time in their job and could probably have their pick of the best. Sadly though she was left with me, so I thought that I better make sure I do a good job! Bridal prep was happening at Inglewood itself with the boys getting ready a short drive away, so after a while I headed off to catch some of their prep and left things in the capable hands of my second shooter Val from Flying Canadian. I arrived to find mass confusion over the pocket squares, and after three generations of men couldn't quite fathom it between them Google quickly came in to save the day and order was restored. Kerry's children arrived looking really sharp and the groomsmen all headed off to Inglewood together. At that point I made my way back to the girls as things started to come together there.
The ceremony was taking place in a gorgeous room tucked away at the back of Inglewood Manor, and everything looked perfect for Kerry's arrival with Dad. A short but beautiful ceremony took place before everyone piled outside by my command as there was a brief of about 20 minutes of sun, and I was damned if I wasn't gonna fit all of the photos inside of those 20 minutes! Once the formals were out of the way we went off for a walk to take some couples shots. Inglewood is a dream for the way I do things, allowing the couple to just wander off into the wonderful grounds of the hotel and through the wooded area whilst I capture some natural shots throughout. I always run out of time before ideas at this place. As our time ran out so did the light, and we headed inside for the speeches and evening reception to get going. A tense bouquet toss resulted in one very happy lady, and the first dance was a great culmination of the whole day.
I'd like to thank Kerry and Eddy for having me along, and all of the wonderful staff at Inglewood for looking after us so well. If you're getting married and looking for a natural photographer then drop me a line and we can start planning. For now, enjoy some of my favourite shots from the day.
